How to verify MaxProTV is legitimate, how to spot impersonators, and how to report them.
IPTV is an industry with many honest operators and a small number of bad actors. This page explains how to verify that you are dealing with MaxProTV and not an impersonator, and what to do if you encounter a scam.
1. MaxProTV's official identity
These are the only official MaxProTV channels. Anything else is not us.
| Channel | Official |
|---|---|
| Domain | maxprotv.net — the only one. Any other domain using our name is a fake. |
| [email protected] — the only one. We do not use Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo or any other free provider. | |
| Checkout | Email only. No WhatsApp. No Telegram. No card forms on site. |
| Legal entity | MaxProTV Ltd, 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom. |
| Founder | James Whitfield, Founder & Technical Director. |
2. How to verify you are on the real MaxProTV site
Before you enter any personal data or send any payment, run these checks:
- Check the domain in the address bar. It must end in
maxprotv.net. Watch for look-alikes such as maxpro-tv.net, maxprotv.co, maxprotv.shop, or any variation with extra letters. - Check the padlock. The address bar must show a valid HTTPS padlock. Our certificate is issued to maxprotv.net. If the certificate says a different name, close the tab.
- Check the email address on every page. Every MaxProTV email link must go to
[email protected]. Any other address is an impersonator. - Check the footer. Every page shows our legal entity (MaxProTV Ltd), our London address, and a link to our privacy, terms, refund and DMCA pages. A site without those is not us.
- Check the logo. Our logo is a neon heart with "MaxPro" in white and "TV" in vermillion. Impersonators often use slightly different colours or fonts.
3. Red flags — how to spot an IPTV scam
These are the classic warning signs. If you see any of them, stop and verify before you pay.
- WhatsApp-only checkout. MaxProTV is email-only. If a "MaxProTV" seller insists on WhatsApp, Telegram, or Instagram DMs for payment, it is a scam.
- Card payments to a personal name. We never ask you to pay a personal bank account, a Wise account in a random name, or a crypto wallet.
- Prices far below market. If a "MaxProTV" seller offers 12 months for £10, it is either a scam or a stolen playlist. Our prices are published and fixed.
- No refund policy. We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee. A seller who refuses any refund is not us.
- No legal entity or address. We publish our company name and London address. A seller who hides behind a Gmail address and no company details is not us.
- Pressure to pay fast. We do not use countdown timers, "last chance" language, or high-pressure sales tactics.
- Fake reviews or ratings. We do not publish fake testimonials or invented star ratings. If a site shows hundreds of 5-star reviews with no source, that is a red flag.
4. What to do if you have been scammed
If you have paid someone who claimed to be MaxProTV and you did not receive the service, take these steps immediately:
- Contact your bank or payment provider. Report the transaction as fraud. Most banks have a 24–48 hour window to stop a transfer.
- Report the impersonator to us. Email [email protected] with the subject "Impersonation Report". Include the URL, screenshots, the email address used, and the payment details you were given.
- Report to the platform. If the scam happened on Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, or TikTok, report the profile to that platform as impersonation.
- Report to the UK's National Cyber Security Centre. If you are in the UK, you can report to ncsc.gov.uk or Action Fraud.
5. Our promise to you
We commit to the following as part of our anti-scam policy:
- One domain only. We will never operate under a second domain that looks like a clone.
- One email only. We will never contact you from a free email provider.
- No pressure tactics. No fake countdown timers, no fake "only 3 left" messages, no high-pressure sales calls.
- Real refunds. Our 7-day money-back guarantee is a real process, not a marketing line.
- Published uptime. We publish our actual rolling 12-month uptime (99.98%), not just a target figure.
- Legal entity. MaxProTV Ltd is a real UK company with a real London address and a named founder.
6. Reporting impersonators
If you spot a site, profile, or person pretending to be MaxProTV, please tell us. We maintain a private list of known impersonators and share it with the relevant hosting providers and platforms.
We aim to respond within 24 hours and to take action (takedown request, platform report, or legal notice) within 5 working days.
